It holds interests in the Santa Barbara Gold project located in the northern tip of the Serranía de San Lucas; Organic Phosphate project located in Rio Grande do Sul in southernmost Brazil; El Dovio property in the western range of the Colombian Andes; copper tenements in Rio Grande do Sul; and Atocha project located in Colombia. The company was formerly known as Newport Mining Limited. Aguia Resources Limited was incorporated in 2007 and is headquartered in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
